OBI BLOOD DRIVE AT NICHOLS HILLS PLAZA!
- April 25
April is Autism Acceptance Month, established to raise awareness about autistic spectrum disorders that affect an individual's normal development of social and communication skills. A shift in terminology from awareness to acceptance is underway to ignite change through improved support and opportunities in education, employment, accessible housing, affordable healthcare and comprehensive long-term services.
April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, an internationally recognized day each year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with autistic spectrum disorders including autism and Asperger syndrome throughout the world. There is no better way to celebrate this day than becoming aware of the characteristics of people with this condition, what their needs are, how all of us can do better to support, increase our own understanding and promote kindness.
